Annyong

Hmm, so starting a blog sounded like fun... a way to share our adventures and thoughts with those who have any interest. Whether it's our family and friends from TX or people we have shared our lives with in some form over the past 25 years, or even the random reader it doesn't really matter to me. But now we have started our "blog" and I actually have to write about stuff- which is proving to be a harder task then I thought. Oh well here goes nothing...

I recently moved to DC and started a new job working in advertising at a PR agency. So far so good. I was previously living in NYC and although I had started a life there full of great friends and endless fun times, there was always a piece missing. After a couple months of endless job searching and countless bus rides up and down 95 I took the plunge and was quite relieved although, the NYC goodbyes were a little rough. Life in DC has been new and all the things that come along with new, but mostly I couldn't be happier about my new roommates- Kev, Gypsy and Bubbs.

10 days until the big move and I CAN'T WAIT. Not that our current cozy studio is so bad, but the new place is just so much better for so many reasons. I know there will be many good times to come on Kenyon Street and hopefully we can share a bit about them on this blog.
Until the next time...

Welcome

Steph and I have been contemplating the creation of this site for a few weeks and the big sticking point seemed to be what we wanted to call it instead of what the page would actually contain. I've been thinking and for me I hope it will serve as a place for us to post interesting pictures, stories and perspectives; especially in relation to our upcoming move from Arlington, VA into our new apartment on Kenyon Street (thus the name) in Columbia Heights, DC.

For the past year, I've been living off Columbia Pike in Arlington and three months ago Steph moved from New York City into my (our) studio apartment. It's
cramped. It's old and occasionally smelly. But all-in-all, it's been fantastic and I wouldn't want it any other way. Anyway, I will make the first real post soon and we will see the staying power of this blog.
